The practice of yoga can offer us support with physical, mental and emotional difficulties encouraging us on all levels to accept, let go and open ourselves to the present moment.
There is a common misperception that in order to do yoga ‘one has to be fit and flexible’. The great yogi Sri Krishnamacharya is known to have said that ‘as long as there is breath one can do yoga’ and I wholeheartedly agree. It is often in the most difficult circumstances that yoga can provide much needed physical and emotional support as well as spiritual guidance.
